AKA: The rules and regulations when seeking relaxation and rejuvenation with massage therapy
It is my mission to preserve a holistic environment generating positive, rejuvenating energy, where my clients can enjoy a professional and therapeutic massage. In my commitment to provide a unique and outstanding massage experience to all of my clients and out of consideration for my time, I have adopted the following policies for both first-time and regular massage clients:
ARRIVAL TO YOUR MASSAGE:
Please arrive for your appointment 15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time for new clients. This allows you the time to fill out the appropriate client forms. For returning clients who have already filled out paperwork, five minutes is sufficient. All massages have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience.
If late arrival is inevitable, your service(s) may be shortened in order to keep on schedule. The original treatment time will be charged. With inclement weather, I will remain open unless it is a Level 2 or 3 emergency.
LATE ARRIVAL POLICY:
I regret that late arrivals will not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when my schedule will allow, I may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at my discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original fee will be charged.
Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours multiple times (two or more), they will be asked to pre-pay for future services. I make reminder calls the day prior to your scheduled appointment. You are welcome to make changes at that time, so please pay attention to your voicemails/text messages from me.
I understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life, and that emergencies and illnesses do occur at inopportune times. If you have a known infection, or have experienced vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours prior to your appointment time, I request that you cancel your session. Inclement weather may also result in the need for late cancellation. Please do not risk your own safety trying to make your appointment. Late cancellation due to emergency, illness, or weather will generally not result in any missed session charged, but will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
NO SHOW POLICY:
Clients who fail to show without a phone call for appointments may be asked to pre-pay for future services.
I respect client’s boundaries with the regard to privacy, disclosure, exposure, emotional expression, and beliefs. Your massage therapy records are kept in a secure place with strictest confidence. Your records will not be released to third parties, including health care providers and insurance companies, without your written consent. Records may be surrendered if required by law.
Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Suggestive comments, sexual innuendos, touching in an inappropriate way, will result in termination of the massage session. The client will not be allowed to return for future massages and will be charged for full appointment. Depending on the behavior exhibited, I may also file a report with local authorities.
